How To Become Inspector or DSP in Punjab Police?

How to Join Elite Police?

Elite Police is a Branch of Punjab Police dedicated to the Terrorism, VIP Securities, and carrying out Special Operations against terrorism and wanted criminals. This unit of Punjab Police was founded primarily in 1998 to fight against terrorism but over the course of time due to the changing situation of law and order in Punjab, additional duties and responsibilities were added to the objectives of Elite Police. 

You can also join the Elite Police by serving in the Punjab Police For a minimum period of 3 Years. Officers from the Special Service Group of Pakistan (SSG) are dedicated to the training of Elite Police. 


Unlike Punjab Police, Elite Police is given special training in firearms, hand to hand combat and High-Risk Missions. Punjab Elite Police is trained in the Elite School Lahore, while Additional Inspector General of Police heads the Elite Police.

In the Elite Training School Lahore, you are given special training in Martial Arts such as Judo Karte, Disarming Weapons as well as tactics that you are never heard from the Special Service Group Commandos of Pakistan Army. 

How To Become Traffic Warden in Punjab Police?

Punjab Traffic Police allows you to join as Traffic Assistant (Traffic Constable) and Traffic Sub-Inspector or Junior Traffic Warden. An Intermediate Qualification is enough to get commissioned as Traffic Assistant in Punjab Police with the age ranging from 19-22 years.



In the case of Traffic Warden jobs are announced through the PPSC and the vacancies are filled all over Punjab. A Bachelor's degree is mandatory for the post of Traffic Warden with age between 19-23 years. CTD Vacancies are announced in the newspapers just like Motorway Police and other Departments of Punjab Police. The recruitment in CTD is 100% based on Merit and is out of the reach of political influnence. CTD is divided into three departments Investigations, Operations, and Intelligence. You have to select one of these departments in the last days of your training. You can join CTD as Constable, ASI, Corpal, Sub-Inspector, or Inspector. 



PCS Test is required to be pass to get commission in CTD. It is very similar to CSS and PMS. The test is based on the General MCQs type questions like English, Mathematics, Urdu, Literature, Everyday Science, Current Affaris, General Knowledge, Islamic Studies, and Pakistan Studies. Besides Written Test, Physical Test, Medical Examination, and Interview is also conducted.
